Mission Inn trip

The Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn in Riverside, California is a treat. It changes every year but it is always beautiful. Rushed home to create a Squidoo lens just for my pictures.

Planning our trip to the Mission Inn

It is time for our annual pilgrimage to the Mission Inn. The lights are lit and it is always magical with the lights, music and people. We have promised the boy ice skating for three years now so we'll see. Riverside is so close that this is a really fun event. Check out their website for more information.

Really nice write up on my California Citrus lens today

What a surprise to find that my California Citrus page on Squidoo is considered a lensmaking tip. I was not the one to find it, another squidooer found it and posted it on FaceBook. It is quite an honor.

I was right about the winds

Major damage all over Southern California but we were spared this time. Still haven't fixed the awing from the last time. However, we have no access to the side yard. 16 feet of tumbleweeds piled 10 feet high fill the area and it will take hours to remove them. We can no longer see our neighbor's house and it is less than 10 feet away. Our driveway is blocked by the tumbleweeds. This is great because I can update my "Tumbleweed" lens on Squidoo with new pictures. I can't wait for my neighbor to try to go out her front door. I have great pictures of that too.

Santa Ana winds

They are forecasting Santa Ana winds. The last time they blew, they damaged our driveway awning. However, looking at the bright side, the tumbleweed farm across the street has plenty of material to make a snowman and an opportunity for pictures for my tumbleweed lens on Squidoo and how to make a tumbleweed snowman how-to on Helium. Great chance to get new pictures to update both of them.

It's Thanksgiving Day

It's Thanksgiving Day and the leaves on the Mulberry trees are refusing to change color. Still, even with the chance of rain, it is going to be a beautiful day. The mountains that surround us are tipped with snow and makes us want to take the hour drive to Big Bear to play in the snow.
