California Citrus State Historic Park
This was my month to provide our homeschooling group with a field trip. I choose the California Citrus State Historic Park. When our child was small, we were docents there and did school tours and other events the park had scheduled. This was a real treat for me because someone else did the tour although I still remember all the stuff I used to share.
The park is beautiful and for a day trip, it is really nice to enjoy the citrus trees and the large grass park. It's great for kids because they have lots of room to roam while still being close enough to keep an eye on. The museum tells the story of citrus and gives an overview of how citrus put Riverside on the map. We had a great time.
