There are wonderful Hot Air Balloon festivals all around the world. We have the Temecula Valley Balloon Festival, this year being held on May 31 – June 1, 2013, at Lake Skinner in the Temecula Valley Wine Country.
For those who are more adventurous, balloon tours are available almost everywhere. It’s kind of interesting that I will drive across America on my own but am afraid to get into a gondola. Nevertheless, I have the best of both worlds. I don’t need to go to the festival and I get my fill of the majesty of these balloons as they soar into the air.
Two companies launch across the street. Our area is rural and there is plenty of room for them to spread out their tarps and inflate the balloons. The whoosh of the burners captures my attention. As I wrote in a recent Squidoo page, I am going to stop taking pictures of them. I mean, how many do I really need. Somehow, I doubt that it will happen. With the next whoosh, I will be out again. Here are just a few of the pictures.
