W is for What I learned on the A to Z Blogging Challenge

This is a departure from California destinations and attractions but it is important to note that I had no idea what I was doing when I started this challenge. I am not really a blogger. I came in not knowing the rules or the etiquette so it has been a learning experience.

C – Continue to blog even when you think that it’s too much.

A – Always know your material and write from the heart.

L – Leave meaningful comments.

I – Invite other bloggers to follow you.

F – Follow those blogs that capture your attention. They can teach you a lot.

O – Organize your posts ahead of time so there is no need to stress.

R – Realize you can’t read all the blogs and then try to do it anyway.

N – Never forget who your audience is.

I – Invest time by participating fully in the challenge.

A – Always thank those who have taken the time to leave comments.

Thank you everyone for the comments and encouragement. Now back to our regular scheduled programming and don't miss "Z". It's my favorite.

  1. This is great Ann. This was my first time also. I enjoyed it although its been getting a bit rough these last few letters.
Glad to find another Survivor fan. This season is really good and I am rooting for Cochran I always find liking the underdog but he is really not so much anymore and I still love him.

  4. Awesome wrap up, and all great points. I especially love your "R." Every day I'm like, "No, you really should go clean your stove, or make dinner, or fold laundry..." but then those itchy fingers carry me on to another wonderful post, and then another, and then...

Whew! There's not enough cheese in the world for all the awesome that's hit the blog-o-sphere in the last several weeks!

  5. That's a cool acronym Ann, I really like it. I'm new to bloggin too and have really enjoyed the challenge and visiting/commenting on other blogs. I love your blog and it has been so useful for me. We went to San juan capistrano the other day and loved it!

  6. Clever acronym. You know so much about CA it's been quite interesting to read.

  7. Love the acronym Ann. This is a very interesting blog and a fascinating read, there's more to California than I thought. I've been blogging for three years now but this is my first Challenge - strangely I've found it easier to write something for the more awkward letters than for some of the easier ones.

You may remember from reading my blog that some of my posts mention camping in Norfolk here in the UK - well the area where I stay is actually called California!

  8. Nicely done! My first A-to-Z was the same. I hadn't blogged, didn't know the rules. It's a real crash course, but I think that's a good way to go. Personally. ;)

  9. You nailed it! That just about sums up the key A to Z how to's and must do's. I've really enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you a bit through your blog and your comments on mine. It's people like you who make the challenge worth coming back to next year.

  10. Very clever -- good advice coupled with commitment to your theme. Who says you're not a blogger???

  11. How fun. I see you've done several A to Z challenges. You are an old hand at this.
I'm worried that my posts are a bit mundane as I rush to get them done in a timely fashion. May go back and enhance them at the end.

    1. Virginia, your posts are never mundane and I have read every single one. It helps that I was able to meet your mother online so I enjoy hearing things in her words.
